Our New Year couldn't be off to a more spectacular start! We had a regular ultrasound appointment this week, and were both pretty excited about getting to take a peek at our little girl. We haven't had an ultrasound since week 20, so this has been 3 long months in coming. We were actually a bit curious to see if we were going to be able to get a good look, as she's so much bigger now and all pretzeled in there! We didn't have a great experience last appointment - the tech rushed through what she was doing and gave us one blurry picture at the end of the appointment, so we were determined to get decent pictures this time. We had a good rapport going with the tech this time, and we were getting awesome little pics like this one - straight up her nose with her tongue sticking out ...
Then she casually says, "Oh, have you guys ever seen the 4D pictures?". When we say no, she pushes a button - this magic button that apparently can just be turned on, and voila` - we got to meet our daughter!
We are very proud to post the first pictures of our beautiful little girl's face.....
(and ps - the knobby thing on her face right where her eye should be in some of the pictures is the umbilical chord - not a googly eye!)
Needless to say, my face was tear-soaked by the end of the appointment. She completely has TJ's top lip, which blew us away to be able to see already. We got to see her make all sorts of little faces, stick her tongue out and throw her hand up over her face. She's pretty nuzzled down in my uterus, so we weren't able to get a full-on, face pic, but I was more than happy with these!
I'm so happy and excited that there aren't words to properly express the feelings....
